SF Cinema City: Buy movie tickets online

SF Cinema City: Buy movie tickets online

Turning up at a Bangkok cinema on spec usually means waiting around for an hour or two in an upscale shopping mall. Your Thai girlfriend would be delighted to go shopping but, for any farang male, it's the ultimate nightmare scenario. The very thought of it makes the blood drain from my wallet.

Fortunately, credit card holders can now pre-book cinema tickets through the SF Cinema City website. You have to register first but it's straightforward enough. The main SFX cinemas are at Mah Boon Khrong (MBK) and the Emporium but there are also others at Bangkae, Bangkapi, Ngamwongwan, and Ladprao.

In future, you may have a different problem. The time it takes for your Thai girlfriend to pretty herself up could make you miss the show.

Chelsea Boy BKK says:

I agree,

And why do the booking agents always try to group everyone together at the back of the cinema.

Why do Thais ignore the please turn off your mobile advertisment

Best to go to the early show on Saturday or Sunday
to avoid gangs of people who seem to be walking around like dead corpses " Most inconsiderate".

Sf Cinema city critic says:

I went to sf cinema city Saturday 21 of august and was very disappointed in the management and staff. A number of non-Thais from the middle east came late to the new Matt Damon film and had a very loud...No.,..LOUD discussion which did not stop. I gave more than one hint to be quiet and they refused to stop their noise. I left the movie with my date and asked for my money back. The staff refused. I asked why they didnot stop the nose in the theatre and they just said nothing. Finally after about 20 minutes of argument I was given 2 passes to see any movie at any time. A day later, august 22 I came to see the same Matt Damon film and was told I could not see that film with that pass. Again, after about 20 minutes of argument I was told I could now see the Matt Damon film. The entire process has left me very dissappointed in both the management and staff at sf cinema. They donot do their job in controling noise in the movie and refused to honour the complaint of a customer. Very poor service. I will go to the other movie theatres from now on.
