Thai phone pests demand call-back service

Thai phone pests usually ring off before you can answer. The cheeky fuckers expect you to call them back at your own expense. These calls are the cellphone equivalent of spam. As with junk emails, they invariably come from dubious individuals who don't deserve a reply.

Thai whores are the main culprits. When business is slow, they work through the phonebooks of their expensive Nokia handsets. The technique is usually employed by whores of the clingy pain-in-the-ass variety. If they were more likeable, the fellas would be calling them.

I once gave my card to a Thai woman who claimed to be a successful businesswoman. Later, when she tried the old call-back trick, my suspicions were confirmed. She was, of course, a cheapskate lying whore.

Soon plagued with way too many calls I finally hired another bargirl to accompany me and do nothing other than answer my phone when it rang. Her job -- like a bodyguard, tell them she was my wife just returned from upcountry and to fuck off, leave her husband alone, and go away in a "or I'll slit your throat kind of way." It worked. Since then I've never given my number to anyone. (Farang male friends excluded)
