...and is the trend likely to reverse when, and if, there is an election. It does strike me that a "firm moral stance" is often used as a vote-winner the world over - I cannot see it being any different in LOS.

On a separate note, to back up your comment on the cinema, I went to see "Shooter" at the flicks last night and there was a young child (possibly 4 or 5 years old) in the front row checking out the many different methods of shooting someone in the head. Fortunately they did not shoot any scantily-clad females (or maybe they did pre-censorship - damn!)

The Censorship Board is in overdrive at the moment, in the UK it's the board of Classification. Thailand openly censors anything that disagrees with the percieved Thai image of Thailand. We all know the image Thailand has internationally! As was said in the post, its ok to see a baby put its arm in a blender, but you can't see a monk play a guitar.
